CAN I DO A SESSION at The Hive FIRST before taking a membership?
Of course! Your first session will be a “Met Con” class which are Cardio- and core-intensive workouts that don't require prior weightlifting experience, but do require willingness to work hard! With a focus on dumbbell, kettlebell, cardio, and bodyweight movements, Sweat! is a great way to discover if The Hive is the right environment for you.

IS THE HIVE EXPENSIVE?
If you are comparing us to other gym selling you access to their (often broken) machines, then YES we are!
If you are comparing us to other gym packing you like sardines and getting you through random circuit exercises, then YES we are!
But, we are WORLD APART from those gyms… Let me explain.
With group size currently limited to 8 people, we are here to provide you with an affordable alternative to the one-to-one personal trainer format. We aren’t going to sheep hurdle you through the hour on one of those boring circuit, we are here to COACH you! This means, we will guide your progress, build your strength, work on your weakness, to achieve those personal goals you have, and will make sure your get the best hour of your day with us! Our coaching and training is very personalised and technique-focused. We aim for quality movement above anything else. This is tailored individual coaching in a group environment.
In The Hive gym you won’t see lines of “fancy” machines, which most people don’t know how to use - This is not what we sell! Our focus is on free weight and functional fitness - the stripped back look of the gym can be strange at first, however once you taste the benefits of having a mentor to teach you on how to maximise your health and fitness, you will never look back!
DO I HAVE TO BE FIT TO JOIN THE HIVE?
The simple answer is No! We get asked this by a lot of newcomers and our answer is always the same… You join The Hive to get fit. No matter what stage of your fitness journey you’re at, we can help get you faster, stronger and leaner. Our aim is all round wellbeing and performance.
